Incoming cuteness!! Meet LEONARDO, an absolutely adorable little mixed breed boy looking for a home. Our best guess on breed is a Schnoodle -- a poodle/schnauzer mix. He has a lovely black coat with a silver stripe down his back. Leonardo is still a pup, around 11 months old and currently 12 pounds. He's fully grown but a little too skinny, he needs to add a pound or two. Leonardo is a little on the timid side and has never known life as an only dog, he needs a home with another friendly playful small dog. Leonardo is a playful boy who loves toys. His playful energy may be too much for a senior looking for a lap sitter. Leonardo will require regular grooming to keep him from becoming a matted mess. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Leonardo at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.
All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
