Sweet little NILLA is done with motherhood, and she's become a playful girl. She's a 13-pound, 5-year old lady who loves loves loves to snuggle! Nilla is a chug -- a chihuahua/pug mix. She’s great with other dogs and cats. She does well with older kids, but small children make her nervous. Nilla loves playing with the other small dogs in her foster home, sunbathing, snuggling, eating, and being cute. She is housebroken and crate trained. Nilla would likely do well in any type of home environment, but she'd be happiest in a home with another small playful dog. She should be fine in an apartment or condo. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care.
