Abby is a beautiful, healthy, 60 pound, 16 month old black lab mix who loves people and other dogs. She is playful and eager to be with people. Abby loves children and she is very sweet and readily delivers kisses. She and her sister were adopted as tiny pups by a young couple who planned to marry. When their engagement ended recently, Abby and her sister were going to be taken to a local shelter. Friends intervened to save these wonderful dogs. She has not had much attention or exercise for many months so she has a lot of energy. Abby will be the perfect companion for someone who wants an exercise partner and she will settle down quickly when she gets a good walk or run in each day. Abby would love to be the personal trainer who gets you out the door for a walk or jog each day. She needs a fenced yard with room to run and play if she is not going to be walked. While she loves to spend some time outside, she really wants to spend time inside just hanging out with the family. She is used to being with other dogs, as her sister has been her canine companion since they were born. She got along very well with her foster's many other dogs. She knows basic commands like sit and come. Abby will be a fabulous companion for some lucky person. She has been moved around and boarded quite a bit for the past month and she really needs to be with a person or a family who will be patient with her and give her lots of love in her new home. She is house trained.
