SNIFFER is a beautiful beagle boy whose short life hasn't been great, but now it's time to turn his life around and give hime a wonderful future. He landed in a rural shelter covered in ticks. He wants to seek attention but it's pretty clear he hasn't experienced much human kindness and expects to be hit. He's so gentle and polite, it's hard to imagine how anyone could treat him with such cruelty. Sniffer is still timid but coming around. He's a beagle, so food is his kryptonite. Shiffer does his best to overcome his fear for a tasty treat. He needs a home with a patient adopter who will show him how wonderful good people can be. He must have a home with a friendly, confident dog who will help him navigate his new life. Sniffer is a small beagle, about 2 years old and fully grown at just 23 pounds, although he could stand to gain a pound or two. Standard beagle rules apply, Sniffer needs a home with a physically fenced yard to keep him from following his beagle sniffer into trouble. You can meet Sniffer at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. 

All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
