Can we agree this is one gorgeous pup? Meet CARMELO, a beautiful mixed breed puppy looking for a home. We're told his parents were a cocker spaniel mix and a beagle. He's currently 4 months old, born 2/28/25, and weighs 15 pounds. We expect him to remain in the small/medium range when fully grown, maybe 25-30 pounds. Carmelo is a sweet silly puppy. He was purchased for a child who failed to care for the dog and so he was surrendered. Side note, folks please understand that pets are family members, not lessons in responsibility for kids.  Little Carmelo is still just a pup so he will require some training. We prefer to send puppies to homes where they won't be left alone for long hours on end. Carmelo would love a home with another playful dog. You can meet Carmelo at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate if he's still available.

All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
