MARLOWE is a simply stunning little mixed breed girl looking for a home. Lovely Marlowe has a soft fluffy long coat, spectacular "tail feathers" and soft soulful brown eyes with so much to say. Marlowe is young and lively, around 18 months old and fully grown at just 28 pounds. Our best guess on breed mix is Flat Coated Retriever? Border Collie? Cocker Spaniel? She's smaller than all those breeds so there's at least one small breed in the mix.But she's more than just a pretty face, Marlowe is a highly intelligent dog. She needs an active home where she'll get plenty of exercise, preferably a home where she will have a doggie playmate who can match her playful energy. Marlowe is smart and athletic she would likely excel in agility training/competition. We've grown to suspect that Marlowe has springs in her back legs, this girl can JUMP! She needs a home with a 6 ft fence or an electric fence with proper training. She can easily jump a 4 or 5 ft fence. When playtime is over she loves cuddles and treats and loves to give kisses. Marlowe is housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Marlowe, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Marlowe at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.
All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
