NEWTON is a simply stunning beagle boy looking for a home. He's a gentle soul who is learning to trust humans. He wants so much to trust people but is cautious and needs a bit of time to warm up. Newton is about 2 years old and fully grown at 28 pounds. He needs a home with a patient adopter who will take the time to earn his trust. A timid dog like Newton needs a home with a confident dog who can help him learn to "dog". Newton needs a physically-fenced yard to keep him from following his nose into trouble. Given his timid nature, he's not well suited to a home with small children. If you'd like to meet sweet Newton, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
