KAIA is a stunning corgi-type mixed breed girl looking for a home. She's around 2 years old and is the perfect blend of beauty and intelligence. Our best guess on breed mix is a "Cowboy Corgi", a Corgi/Australian Cattle Dog mix, although there may be a few other breeds mixed in. Kaia is a 30 lb. low rider with short stubby legs and a thick corgi-type tail. She has a stunning chocolatey medium-length coat. Kaia is a good natured friendly girl who loves everyone she meets. This engaging girl is very well mannered, sitting sweetly for treats. She is active and intelligent and needs a home where she will get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Kaia came to us from a rural shelter with her daughter Kimberly. If you'd like to meet Kaia, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Kaia at our weekly adopton event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.

All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
