PEPPERONI is a sweet gentleman. He's a beagle/basset hound-type mixed breed boy with a beautiful chocolate/red coat. Pepperoni landed in a rural shelter after being hit by a car. The poor guy had a broken front leg that required treatment which the shelter was unable to provide. Fortunately the break is not severe and he's currently wearing a cast to allow the leg to heal up properly. Pepperoni has a lovely disposition, he adores people and treats. Pepperoni can go to a furever home, but he will be a foster until the leg is completely healed. If you'd like to meet Pepperoni, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhousrescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Pepperoni at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.
All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
