CINDERS is a sweet little Bassadore-type mixed breed puppy looking for a home. Cinders is a jet black short stack with a curly tail. Our best guess is she's a Labrador Retriever/Basset Hound-type mix. Maybe there's a little dachshund in the mix as well? And we have no clue where that curly tail comes from. Cinders is around 5ish months old and is currently 21 pounds. We're guessing she will be 30ish pounds when fully grown. Cinders is a bit on the timid side but warms up to kindness and yummy treats. She's a playful medium energy girl who loves toys and other dogs. Cinders needs a home with another friendly dog to help her navigate her new life. Puppies Cinders and Sapphire were found dumped in the woods together. We think the two are related but Cinders is maybe a month older than Sapphire. Possibly sisters from the same mister but different mamas? When the girls were found they were shut down and terrified. With patience and kindness from their fosters, they have learned that people are actually pretty alright. If you'd like to meet Cinders, please fill out a dog adoption application at
dreamhouserescue.org.
We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Cinders at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.
All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
