Sweet beagle girl ELAINE is pure joy. What an absolute sweetheart. She's an 8-ish year old 27 pound playful, silly, affectionate girl. She loves taking "grass baths" in the yard, rolling and wiggling like she's trying to become one with the grass. Elaine also loves to run and play with toys. Give her a stuffy and she's off to the races. We believe Elaine was a former hunting dog and she's given birth to litters of puppies in the past. She was a low key girl when she arrived
from a rural shelter, clearly not feeling well. With proper vet care (including a dental) and good nutrition her happy-go-lucky personality has emerged. She's affectionate, good with other dogs and seems fine with cats. Elaine needs a home with a physically-fenced yard to keep her from following her beagle nose into trouble. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Elaine at our weekly adoption event Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.
All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
