WINKERS is a stunning blue-eyed blue merle beagle boy looking for a home. Winkers is around 3 years old and fully grown at 28 pounds. He's a friendly, playful guy who loves toys and chewies. Winkers is a bit shy in new situations and when meeting new people but warms up quickly to kindness and tasty treats. Winkers is best suited to a home with another friendly confident dog who can show him the ropes. He needs a home with a physically fenced yard to keep him from following his beagle nose into trouble. If you would like to meet Winkers, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Winkers at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.

All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
