GIBBS is an adorable little guy looking for a home. He's a 3.5 year old 9 pound terrier mix, we were told Yorkie mix. He has a wiry coat, we suspect he has some Border, Cairn or Norfolk terrier in the mix, and who knows what else? Some dachshund? Chihuahua? Gibbs is an adorable little charmer. He loves to be held and carried and cradled like a baby. He's an even tempered friendly guy. Once Gibbs falls in love with you, he will follow you anywhere. He's fine with everyone including older kids but we haven't had him around small children. He's friendly with other small dogs and a bit frightened of kitties. Gibbs is a great little dog who ended up in rescue through no fault of his own. He's housebroken and crate trained and walks well on a leash. He would be perfectly fine in an apartment or condo. His scruffy coat will require regular upkeep to keep him looking and feeling great. If you'd like to meet Gibbs, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
