Tiny NATHAN is the perfect blend of cute, sassy and sweet. He's a 3ish year old 8 lb. long-haired chihuahua mix. Our best guess on the "mix" part is Papillon. Nathan is a lively little guy with a big personality. Nathan is energetic and playful. He LOVES to play fetch and loves toys. He can be choosy about his human friends, he needs a minute to check a person out to decide whether they're cool. And once Nathan likes you he demands your attention and affection. Nathan is good with other small or medium-sized dogs. Given his tiny size, we prefer to send Nathan to a home with no small children or big dogs. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
