LET'S PLAY!

Adorable DAVIS is ready for fun! He's a 3 year old 20 pound Jack Russell Terrier-type mixed breed boy looking for a home. Davis has a lively JRT personality. He loves to play ball and loves squeaky toys. We aren't sure about the rest of his breed mix -- maybe some Shih Tzu? He's got a longer body and sturdier build than a pure-bred JRT. His scruffy coat is wiry. Davis is dog friendly and respectful with dog-savvy cats but may chase a cat that runs. He's best suited to a home where he will get plenty of playtime. If you'd like to meet Davis, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Davis at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate, if he's still available.

All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
