NIGEL is a proper little gent of Australian descent. He's a 9 year old 11 pound Australian Terrier looking for a new home (or a short term foster!). He is an adorable little guy who has been well loved and cared for but his family is no longer able to care for him due the their health issues. He had a dental about 2 years ago, so his teeth are in good shape. He's accustomed to life with older people, and would be a wonderful companion for a retiree. He is housebroken and well-behaved. Nigel's long lovely locks will require regular grooming/upkeep to keep him looking and feeling great. If you'd like to meet Nigel, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. If you're not interested in adopting but would be willing to foster Nigel, please fill out a foster application on our website.

All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
