ABIGAIL is an adorable little mixed breed girl looking for a home. She appears to be a beagle/whippet mix. She has the gorgeous tricolor coat of a beagle and the high waist and long thin nose of a sighthound, possibly whippet, maybe some other variety of sighthound. Abigail's big brown eyes are simply stunning. She's about 3 years old and fully grown, currently 35 pounds but a bit overweight. She should be around 30 pounds.  She's sweet, playful, active and well behaved. Abigail loves to be active and needs a home where she will get plenty of exercise. If you'd like to meet Abigail, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org.  We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Abigail at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.

All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
