The long and short of it is we needed a wide angle lens to photograph these adorable long and short puppies. Meet SALSA and SAMBA, two adorable female Bassadore mix pups (Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever) looking for homes. These 6.5 month old sisters are gorgeous and sweet. They are friendly and slightly shy and love trotting around the yard together. They have the long gorgeous, velvety ears and short crooked legs of basset and the soft gleaming black coats of a labrador retriever. These beauties are nearly identical twins, Salsa is slightly larger at 38 pounds, Samba is 36 pounds. They will probably be in the 45 pound range when fully grown.  Salsa and Samba have been together their entire lives and love very much enjoy each other's company. They can be adopted together or separately, but if separated, they must must must go to a home with another friendly, playful dog. They are best suited to homes with physically-fenced yards where they can wander and sniff and play. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
