SAGEBRUSH is a handsome hunk of a young dog. He's a sturdy mixed breed short stack, probably part Australian Cattle Dog, Basset Hound and who knows what else? Sagebrush is around 20 months old and fully grown at 43 pounds with a soft, medium length coat. He's a happy, friendly boy who loves to play fetch. He's also a big fan of people, belly rubs and treats. He's good with respectful dogs, or would be fine as an only child. He's an energetic boy best suited to a home with a physically-fenced yard where he can run and play. He would also be a great training partner for a runner. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter, or you can meet him at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.

All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
