GARY is one of the bestest boys you'll ever meet and it's long past time for this boy to find a home. He's a 4-5 year old beagle mix, likely with a bit of basset hound in his family tree, and fully grown at 27 pounds. Gary has been a perfect foster brother. This little guy looked out for hydrocephalic puppy Poochie like she was his baby sister. He comforted her, alerted their foster mom whenever Poochie had a seizure and mourned her passing, searching the house for his sweet little friend. He also helped train silly puppy Jenga, befriending him and correcting him when he misbehaved. He has a positive influence on every dog he comes into contact with. He loves everyone, adores kids, loves playing with his foster siblings. Gary is housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Gary, please fill out a dog adoption application at

We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Gary at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-3 at PetSmart Eastgate.
All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
