Sweet IVORY is a darling, gentle little chihuahua mix girl looking for a home.  She is a bit on the timid side, especially with men, but warms up when she figures out they won't hurt her.  Ivory is an easy to love girl, about 5 years old and 13 pounds. She's housebroken, crate trained and loves to cuddle. Ivory appears to have been used to breed puppies, she's clearly had multiple litters and when she was no longer useful for breeding she was probably dumped. She appears to have had a litter recently. Ivory is now spayed and out of the puppy business and ready to enjoy life as a treasured family member. Ivory is fine with other dogs and cats, walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. She's a quiet girl who would be fine in an apartment or condo. Given her timid nature, she's not well-suited to a home with small children. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care.
