Sweet Janelle is a fluffy mixed breed little girl looking for a home. She was found as a stray bone thin and covered in fleas. With good nutrition and veterinary care, she's in much better shape.Janelle is a happy, friendly girl, a little bit timid in new situations but she warms up quickly to kindness. She’s around 2 years old and fully grown at 23 lbs. but needs to add a couple of pounds, so 25 pounds is her ideal weight. She appears to be part border collie, but the rest is a mystery. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care.
