This regal little fellow is JACKALOPE, a perfectly adorable chiweenie (chihuahua/dachshund mix) looking for a home. He's 1-2 years old and fully grown at just 13 lbs. Jackalope is such a character. He loves to be carried around but also loves to run and jump and zoom around. Jackalope is good with other dogs, fine with kitties. He can be a bit timid in new situations but warms up quickly. Given his tiny size we won't send him to a home with small children. If you'd like to meet Jackalope, please fill out a dog adoption application at

All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care.
