Beautiful BABS the BEAGLE is ready for a furever home. This sweet little lady of a certain age likes to cuddle, nap, eat, chew on chewies, sniff around and just generally enjoys a low key lifestyle. She is dog and cat friendly, but would also be perfectly fine as an only child. She is housebroken and crate trained. She's about 10 years old and 28 lbs. Babs needs a home with a physically-fenced yard where she can run and sniff. She's a typical beagle, nose to the ground, following every interesting scent. She would be a perfect companion for a retiree. She's best suited to a quiet home with no young kids who might carelessly open a door and become unwitting accomplices in a Babs escape plot. Babs came to us in fairly rough shape, with mammary chain tumors, bad teeth and unspayed. The tumors are gone (benign! yay!), she's had dental work, she's spayed, vaccinated and ready for her happily ever after. If you'd like to meet Babs the Beagle, please fill out a dog foster-to-adopt application at
dreamhouserescue.org.
All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care.
