Could BABYBEL be... a Frug? When we ran each photo through a breed recognition app the results were very consistent -- Pug and French Bulldog. Now we totally see it, but we didn't initially think about a Frenchie because it's exceedingly rare to see a Frenchie or Frenchie mix in rescue. But, well, Babybel sure looks like a Frug. Perhaps we should have called her Babybelle? Babybel is a sweet, gentle, good natured girl, about 8 years old and 16 lbs. Babybel spent her most of her life as a beloved companion until her person passed away. Things went downhill for her when she was given away and mistreated by young kids, as a result she's terrified of children, so we won't send her into a home with little ones. She's a perfect companion for a retiree who would love a cuddle buddy. Babybel is housebroken. If you'd like to meet sweet Babybel and give her the loving home she deserves, please fill out a dog foster-to-adopt application at dreamhouserescue.org.
All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care.
