This beautiful girl is so smart we named her JEANIUS! Jeanius is a young border collie looking for a furever home. She's about 2-3 years old and fully grown at 32 lbs. but needs to add 4 or 5 lbs. She is a friendly girl who greets people sweetly. She loves other dogs and is best suited to a home with another friendly dog and a physically fenced yard. Jeanius has herding tendencies, so she needs a home with no small children. Jeanius is dog friendly but wants to herd cats, so no kitties. Border collies are smart, active dogs who need lots of exercise and mental stimulation. She walks well on a leash and she rides well in a car. We'd prefer to find her a home with someone who has experience with herding breeds. Jeanius is not a good option for a first-time pet parent. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care.
