"HEY GUYS, DOES MY HEAD MAKE ME LOOK LIKE A BIG DOG?" Yes WALLACE, yes it does. Wallace is a silly playful boy with a beagle-sized body. But that head? Obviously he has a huuuge brain. We kid, in person it's not quite so dramatic, but if you see him in pics and then meet him in person, it's surprising how small he is. Wallace is a labby/beagle-type mixed breed guy, about 1 year old and fully grown at 40 lbs. He has a long and low lean body. Wallace is a lively pup who loves people. He loves loves loves kids. He needs a bit of work on his manners because his huge brain is still puppyish. He's very responsive to direction and food motivated which always helps in training. He needs a home where he can be the only dog. If you'd like to meet Wallace, please fill our a dog foster-to-adopt application at dreamhouserescue.org. You can meet Wallace Saturday noon-2 at our weekly adoption event at PetSmart Eastgate.
All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care.
