Sweet little ONYX is a 13 pound Shih Tzu girl looking for a furever home. She's around 8-10 years old and has lost most of her eyesight. We believe she can see shadows, but as her foster says, she sees with her heart. Onyx lived life as an indoor dog until she started losing her eyesight, at which point her owners put her outside to live. Who does that?? Thankfully they agreed to surrender her and let us find her a loving indoor home. Onyx can navigate life with her limited vision, but her new person should accompany her when she goes outside to make sure she can find her way back. She is housebroken and crate trained and fine with other dogs. Other than her failing eyesight, Onyx is healthy and happy and ready for a new life. She's best suited to a quieter home. You may notice that she's missing some fur around her shoulder. She was an injured bystander when two other dogs were scuffling. Nothing broken, just stitches.
