Foxy little MADIE with the magnificent ears is looking for a furever home. She is a is a sweet, friendly Heinz 57 varieties-type mixed breed girl with a gorgeous blond medium-length coat . We aren't sure what's in the breed mix, she appears to be part Carolina Dog, but much smaller. Madie is a gentle girl, a bit on the timid side. She's about 4 years old -- past the crazy puppy stage and fully grown at just 26 lbs. She is dog friendly and medium energy. Madie is new to the rescue but appears to be housebroken. And she LIKES getting bathed! You may notice the blue pigmentation on most of her tongue. NO THAT DOESN'T MEAN SHE'S PART CHOW CHOW! A number of breeds can have tongues with dark pigmentation. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care.
