Are you ready to fall in love with the "I LOVE THE 80'S LITTER"?? Mama Grace Jones' 10 adorable puppies (3 girls, 7 boys) are nearly 8 weeks old and ready to find their furever homes. We had lots of fun naming these cuties -- we love 80's pop (pup?) culture -- so much to choose from! John Hughes films, 80's rockers, Top Gun and brat packers. Say hello to girls STEVIE NICKS, DEMI MOORE and SAMANTHA BAKER and boys FERRIS BUELLER, OZZY, BOWIE, LEMMY, JAKE RYAN, MAVERICK and GOOSE. PLEASE, before applying, read through this entire post; Don't fall in love with photos and apply based solely on their fluffy cuteness. PLEASE read through the adoption requirements for this litter before applying. Mama Grace Jones is a beautiful 39 lb. Aussie mix. Daddy is unknown, but these cuties are definitely Aussie mixes. They are lively, energetic, playful pups. Some have rear dewclaws, so there may be some other herding breed hiding in their as well. Most (but not all) of the puppies have double coats. It's difficult to predict full-grown adult size without seeing daddy or knowing the full breed mix, but we are ballparking them at 40-50lbs. 
 
Samantha Baker of "Sixteen Candles" fame is a high energy, fluffy, independent girl with a double coat.

We are looking for experienced adopters for these pups. We don't recommend herding breed dogs to first-time dog owners. Aussies are whip smart and energetic, and their adopters must be committed to training and socializing their puppies to become well mannered family members. We will prioritize applications from adopters with another friendly active dog. On the rare occasion when a puppy is returned, it's because they are lonely and miserable. These pups will require homes with physically-fenced yards and no small children. They aren't well suited to apartment living. When applying for these puppies, you will increase your chance for success if you list all of the pups you would consider. We will choose the 10 best applications. Meeting the puppies prior to applying is NOT an option, they are fostered in a private home. Mama Grace Jones has already gone out to an adopter.

The puppies in the "I LOVE THE 80'S" litter will go to adoptive homes on a foster-to-adopt basis. their adoptions will be finalized when the vetting covered by their adoption fee is completed. 
The puppies will need to come back to us twice before finalizing, so they must go to homes

 within a 2 hour drive of PetSmart Eastgate. 
Please note that we only adopt dogs into homes where all pets (dogs and cats) are spayed/neutered. All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccines, annual heartworm testing and current on heartworm prevention and flea and tick prevention. PLEASE be sure to include your vet's phone number, and include the name of the heartworm prevention and flea and tick prevention you use on your application. Please don't make us chase down information, it will reduce the likelihood that you will get chosen for one of these puppies. 
Our adoption fee covers spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccines, de-worming, microchip, first doses of heartworm prevention and flea and tick prevention and any other needed veterinary care.
