Adorable Bailey is a 6 year old, 26 lb. cockapoo-type boy looking for a home where he can thrive. Bailey has a seizure disorder which has been stabilized with the right medication and a calm environment. He would love to be your companion and trot along next to you all day, or snooze in his bed when he tuckers out. Bailey needs an adopter who is prepared to maintain his stabilization journey, and in return this adorable boy will give you all of the love and attention you could ever want. Due to his condition, Bailey requires a home where he won't have to navigate flights of stairs. He loves going for walks but he won't do his business while on a leash so he must have a fenced yard. Bailey's seizures can be triggered by over stimulation so he needs a calm home with no small children or active dogs. He would be fine with another low-key dog and he's great with cats. Bailey is very food motivated and does well with positive reinforcement training, he's already learned sit. If you are interested in adopting Bailey, please fill out a foster-to-adopt application at dreamhouserescue.org. Before applying, PLEASE make sure you meet his requirements: Bailey requires a quiet home with an adopter who will make sure he receives his medications on-schedule. He must have a home with a physically fenced yard, no flights of stairs to navigate, no apartments or condos.

All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care.
