Sam I Am is a happy-go-lucky boy who loves everyone. This gorgeous green-eyed athlete has a big personality and a really big head. Sammy is a 2-year-old 56 lb. mixed breed boy with a lean, athletic body. He wants to be everybody’s friend. Sam loves to run and play with dogs of all sizes. When playtime is over, Sam is a lap dog. Don’t tell him he’s too big to sit in your lap, he doesn’t need that kind of negativity in his life. Sam needs an active home, he’d make a great running or hiking partner. He needs home with a 6-foot fence. He will sail over a 4-foot fence. It’s not that he’s trying to escape, but he sees friends everywhere and wants to go visit. Sam loves people of all ages and is fine with cats. He’s housebroken and crate trained. If you’d like to meet this beautiful boy, please fill out a foster-to-adopt application at

All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care.
