We are getting to know bright eyed and bushy tailed 6 month old 13 lb puppy KANGA a bit better as she settles into her foster home. This little girl has Corgi ears and the looks of a Lancashire Heeler. She loves to run and play in the yard with the other dogs in her foster home. She has settled down a bit and is no longer over-the-top energetic. She's best suited to a home where she can run and play with a friendly dog a bit larger than her -- think beagle-sized. Her plays style is not well suited to homes with smaller or geriatric dogs. Kanga is not a lap dog, but she does like to cuddle. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care (vaccines, heartworm testing, etc).
