Lovely lively Gardenia is a gorgeous lab puppy, 1 of 23 dogs rescued from a backyard breeding/hoarding operation. This energetic playful girl is 3-4 months old and 27lbs. We estimate she will be around 50lbs when fully grown. She is a friendly, beautiful girl. Gardenia would be happiest in a home with a fenced yard and another playful dog. She is not suited to apartment living. Gardenia is dog and people friendly with a cheerful lab personality. None of the dogs from this case appear to be emotionally scarred, just neglected. If you'd like to apply to give Gardenia the loving home and care she deserves, PLEASE read this entire post before submitting your foster-to-adopt application at dreamhouserescue.org.   If you are interested in this dog, please submit a foster to adopt application. Applications are reviewed before inquiries, by the time we get to your inquiry the dog may be unavailable. If you want updates on a dog’s availability, please check our Sweet Dream House Rescue Facebook page.     We are looking for Greater Cincinnati area adopters please, within a one-hour drive of the Eastgate area. Gardenia will go to an adoptive home on a foster-to-adopt basis. Rather than our standard one-week trial period, her adoption will not be finalized until any necessary veterinary procedures and/or treatments are completed, including spay surgery. We will provide a timeline to Gardenia's adopters. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care (yearly exams, vaccines, heart worm testing, etc). Please be sure to include your vet’s phone number on your application.   Our adoption fees cover standard veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, microchip, heart worm test, age-appropriate vaccines, de-worming, and up-to-date on monthly heart worm and flea and tick prevention.   Please note: We have already received overwhelming interest in the dogs from this case. We will do our best to review/respond to applications, but it will take time and we may not be able to get back to every single one. If you apply for this dog, thank you, we appreciate your interest. Please don’t follow up with calls and emails and Facebook messages asking if we got your app (we did), when we can expect to hear from you (we’re doing our best to respond to applications, but we are dealing with a lot of dogs and a lot of apps), if the dog is still available (watch our Facebook page, we’ll update posts when a dog is no longer available). We appreciate your interest and we are doing our best
