On a Saturday during an adoption event we got a call from a friend who found 4 "kittens" beside the road. He took them to Noah's Ark Animal Clinic where they were evaluated. A foster picked them up the next day. They were described as "underweight, severely infested with fleas, mm pale, unable to draw enough blood for CBC, FeLV/FIV/HW neg/neg/neg. They were about 6 months to a year old and that meant they should weigh about 7 to 8 pounds at least. The biggest one, Harry, was 5.1 pounds, the littlest, Orphan Annie, weighed only 3.3 pounds! Even as starved, underweight and flea infested as they were, all of them especially Orphan Annie still wanted to be loved on. They have recuperated well, been spayed or neutered and are ready to be adopted. Georgie now weighs almost 7.5 pounds and is very affectionate.
