KATIE is a fun, sassy little mixed breed puppy looking for a home. She appears to be a miniature border collie/australian shepherd type girl. She has some small breed dog in the mix to account for her petite size. Maybe some Boston terrier? She's around 6 months old and 15 pounds. We don't expect her to get much bigger, she'll probably remain under 20 pounds when fully grown. She has a bobbed tail like an Aussie. Katie is a confident little girl who is best suited to a home with another confident playful dog. She loves kids but is not well suited to a home with small children who may not enjoy her herding tendencies. Katie loves toys and treats. You can meet Katie at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate, if she's still available.

All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
